Wire wrapped Besednice Moldavite

$610.00

One of a kind wire wrapped pendant using rare Besednice Moldavite made with genuine copper wire which has been ‘antiqued’ for a more rustic feel. This is a very delicate piece with minimal wrapping so the beauty of the moldavite shows. I have worn this for a couple of hours to test that it’s not spikey on the skin and sits well (and it’s fine). As the delicate spikes are not ‘enclosed’ I would not recommend wearing with certain fabrics as it will catch.

This is matched with a delicate copper coated alloy chain and a magnetic clasp to make it easy to take on and off.

Besednice Moldavites are also known as Hedgehogs (or Hogs) because of their spiky nature. The deeply and intricately sculptured hogs come from one location and one location only, Besednice. Once you have seen a true hedgehog you will be astounded by the detail. The mine at Besednice closed many years ago and the ‘good ones’ come up for sale only rarely.

Moldavite:
Longest side – 54 mm
Weight prior to wrapping – 4 grams

I am so confident in the authenticity of my moldavites I’ll be sending you a Free Jewelry Loupe (magnifying glass) so you can inspect the texture close up.

I have been a collector (and sometimes seller) of Moldavite for about 10 years. All of the items offered are from my personal collection all of which were acquired from a Moldavite miner in the Czech Republic between 2008 – 2010. I am fortunate to have a fabulous collection (!!!), my house positively buzzes with high energy and must send a beacon of green skywards – for those that can see it.

75% of moldavite sold over the internet is fake, due to the source of my moldavite I can assure you that mine are 100% genuine.
